Toddlers and Snacks
Toddlers are snack eating machines! If your toddler is anything like mine, they will say they aren’t hungry and barely touch their meal but beg for snacks right after. We know our kiddos need to eat but it sure would be nice if they would eat their real food, right? Ugh! I’m sure we are all guilty of giving in and still letting them have a snack even though they didn’t eat. This is why it’s important to find good quality snacks that are fairly healthy for our little ones. Keep reading to find out the best snacks for toddlers. Bonus: These can all be found at Aldi and are cheap, cheap, cheap!
Our Toddler’s Favorite Aldi Finds (I mean snacks)
Aldi Simply Nature Squeezable Apple Sauce Pouches
We love getting the variety pack. The variety pack includes unsweetened apple, strawberry apple and banana apple. You can also purchase just a 12 pack of apple cinnamon or unsweetened apple. Don’t let the name fool you, there’s plenty of flavor and your toddler will still love them. These are not only delicious but healthy and easy to grab for an on-the-go snack. You can purchase this 12 pack snack for about $6.99!
Simply Nature White Cheddar Puffs $2.55.
We go through a bag of these a week. Our toddler is obsessed and so are her parents! These white cheddar puffs melt in your mouth and are so easy for your little one to eat. Just fill your toddler’s snack cup up with these and take them to go. They will be asking for more. These white cheddar puffs are Non-GMO and gluten free. Definitely a healthier option compared to other crackers, chips and popcorns.
Simply Nature Organic Fruit Snacks Mixed Berry $4.95
I love these fruit snacks because they have no dyes or artificial flavors in them. This is something I’m always checking the label for and Aldi is great place to find dye-free snacks. These fruit snacks taste great and are definitely one of the best snacks for toddlers! It’ll make you feel a little less guilty about giving them fruit snacks and they are half the price of other healthy alternatives.
Try These Fresh Snack Favorites!
Simply Nature Brownie Bites $4.29
Okay, these are so fun! Not only are they fun shapes like stars and dinosaurs but they are packed with 5 different vegetables and disguised as brownies. Your toddler will never know they are eating something “healthy.” That is a parent win right there. These fun snacks also come in sweet potato and broccoli bites. A bonus is that they are gluten free!
Mini Cucumbers $2.09
So, I know it isn’t quite necessary to buy “mini” cucumbers. But, it is really convenient when cutting these up for your toddler. They cut up in the best bite size pieces and if your toddler is anything like mine they will love to “dunk” these into their favorite dips. And it’s healthy! That definitely makes for one of the best snacks for toddlers.
Park Street Deli Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Cups $4.95
I know hummus can be a hit or a miss but our toddler enjoys it. We love these individual cups because they are the perfect size for a toddler. You won’t have to worry about them double dipping into your container or wasting a bunch of it since they have their own portioned cup. These are perfect for dipping those cucumbers in! Our toddler also likes to dip pretzels and carrots in, too.
Park Street Deli Snack Selects $2.55
Sweet or Salty? Cheese, nuts and chocolate? Yes please! We love getting these snack packs every week. The combinations of flavors are the best and not only will you enjoy these, but your toddler will too. With a variety of choices, you will find one that will become your toddler’s favorite. We personally love the sharp white cheddar, dried cranberries and sea salt roasted almonds. Our toddler prefers the snack pack with the dried bananas and dark chocolate pieces. These come in a 3-pack and are only $2.55 which is less than the Sargento packs!
